The textile, no longer suitable for resale in Japan due to its natural fading over time, has been thoughtfully given a second life in the West—where its artistry, heritage, and craftsmanship can continue to be appreciated.

The design features a refined Golden Floral Fan (扇) motif. In traditional Japanese culture, the ōgi (fan) symbol carries deeply auspicious meaning. Its spreading shape represents prosperity, good fortune, upward growth, and the idea of life continuously opening into abundance. It is often associated with celebrations, happiness, and a flourishing future.
