The exterior is paired with natural Indian hessian fabric, creating a beautiful contrast of textures.
The interior is lined with a vibrant yellow Japanese recycled fabric from Uni Fabric, Kyoto. This polyester lining is thoughtfully color-matched to the durable YKK zipper, adding a bright and cohesive finish to the piece.

The Story Behind the Piece
This clutch began life as a vintage silk obi, a traditional sash worn over a kimono. The diamond motif reflects life’s vitality and enduring strength, representing wishes for long life and prosperous descendants. The fabric was carefully preserved before being reimagined by hand in my London atelier. The lining of recycled Japanese fabric from Uni Fabric adds a modern, eco-conscious touch while maintaining harmony with the piece’s traditional roots.
